HAND-EMBELLISHMENT
What is a Hand-Embellishment?
An hand-embellishment, is a reproduction of an original piece of artwork, in which the artist applies his distinctive medium once the printing process has been completed. A Giclée print in which uses fine-art inks to optimise durability, is printed upon a high-quality cotton canvas. Once this has been done, the canvas is coated with a texturising gel, which prevents any invasive UV damage, as well as creating the illusion of brush strokes. Finally, the artist then highlights certain details of the picture, either emphasising existing details of the painting or adding new elements. Therefore, each piece is a completely unique and bespoke piece. Since hand-embellishments involve greater involvement on the part of the artist, this enables people to enjoy the closest thing to an original, at a fraction of the cost
